Betrayal, Beginnings and Baptism

Silver linings in the Storms
1

Hiya friends,

Thanks for joining me yesterday at SpeakEasy. If you missed it, the whole talk is above.

If you are a paid member, we are gathering again today for our Story Salon—a sacred, creative space to workshop our stories or just join to listen.

This afternoon’s theme touches something raw and universal: betrayal.

The story of betrayal is as old as Cain and Abel; betrayal is the rupture that breaks trust and shatters hearts. Etymologically, it means to be a traitor, to deliver someone to evil.

It is also a classroom that not many get to skip. It breaks us apart, takes our breath away, and leaves us for dead. But if we allow it, this painful portal can open into something sacred.

In the economy of grace, betrayal becomes a holy turning point, a catalyst for transformation. From heartbreak, there can be a homecoming from rupture, renewal. It is in these moments that writing becomes more than expression, it becomes alchemy.

So today, from 3:00 to 4:30 CT, we will meet on Zoom to write, share, and listen to how others navigate this laboratory called life.

Bring a journal, a pen, and your brave heart.
No experience necessary—just a willingness to show up.

Also, here is a funny clip of my sharing at the A Course in Miracles Convention back in the day, about a Betrayal, a Baptism, and a beginning.
